Mountain Bike/Hike Milldale Weekend

31st May/1st June 2003

On the weekend of 31st May and 1st June 2003 Saltney Ferry Scouts and Explorers held a Mountain Bike/Hike weekend at Milldale in Nantwich. The Group uses this site quite regular for weekends as it is only 25 miles from Saltney. A total of 18 people went, which included 4 Leaders, 3 Explorers, and 11 Scouts. The main events being the bike ride and hike. Those without bikes went on the hike, whilst the majority went on the bike ride. The bike ride was 14 miles, whilst the hike was 6. The weather was glorious. On our return we held a number of games in Nantwich park, and held a late campfire. The next day was spent climbing, sliding down the water slide, and holding wide games in the woods.

Overall the two days were jam packed, and allowed our members to continue pushing towards the Dragon Award. Below are some pictures taken during the weekend.
