Challenge Hike Training

Sat 5th/6th March 2005

Saltney Ferry Scouts and Explorers attended the training weekend for the Challenge Hike at Gladstone. A total of 10 people attended the weekend, 2 Leaders, 3 Explorers, and 5 Scouts. 4 trained for the Scout challenge hike, and 2 trained for the D of E Expedition. The night was spent camping in the woods, and was lovely and warm at -3 centigrade! Cooking was on small stoves, although as you can see they tried out a fire.
