Centenary Camp

 Friday 25th - 27th May 2007

The group held its own Centenary Camp at Tatton Park in May 2007. The camp was celebrating 100 years of Scouting, and during the weekend Scouts from all over the world were under canvas.

Our group had 33 people on the weekend, which included Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, and leaders. Thank you to the 25 youngsters who were so well behaved throughout the weekend.

The weekend was based on the past, current, and future of Scouting. Which included making flying arrows, backwards cooking, bell boating, kayaking, wide games, camp fire, giant push ball, launching a rocket, and most important investing two new Cub Scouts.

Overall the weekend was a big success, although the weather could have been kinder on the Sunday. It is always nice to have the sections camping together, as they really do get on! There is nothing better than seeing the older ones teaching the younger ones what they know. Although in the three female Cubs case, it was them teaching the Explorers!

A lot more pictures to follow soon!
