Wye Cruise 2006

April 29th to May 1st 2006

Once again Saltney Ferry Scouts and Explorers took part in the Welsh Scout Council River Wye Cruise. Canoeing approximately 32 miles, between Hoarwithy and Monmouth. An excellent weekend, and once again we teamed up with Penyffordd for the weekend. Six from Saltney Ferry Group went, including 1 Scout, 4 Explorers, and me! The days are spent canoeing down the River, and dropping off at a number of campsites. Camping at Hoarwithy, Ross on Wye, and Biblins in the Forest of Dean. One even completed his one star.
