Luke's Gladstone Camp

 Friday 26th/28th January 2007

As part of Luke's Camp Skills badge, Luke ran an Explorer weekend on a cold January weekend. The weekend was planned and run entirely by Luke, with slight help from a number of leaders along the way. This involved the planning, food, transport, activities, and paperwork involved in running a camp.

The weekend was a brilliant effort from a 15 year old Explorer, and demonstrates all the good things Explorer Scouting can achieve.

The weekend included a food challenge, making spoons, abseiling, wide game, film night, pioneering, and getting a Landrover stuck! All the Explorers loved the weekend, and hopefully this will encourage them to run similar events in the future.
