Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Expedition

Friday 24th/25th/26th February 2006

On Saturday 25th/26th February seven Explorers from Saltney Ferry took part in DofE Expeditions. One group did the Expedition, whilst the other group did the practice. After sleeping in the headquarters on the Friday night, the group set off in the early hours of the morning from Much Wenlock in Shropshire. Both walks took place around the area. The campsite was located at the Wrekin, a Shropshire Scout campsite. The hike involved carrying all the equipment for the weekend, including tents, food, personal, and sleeping equipment. Approximately 28 kilometres was walked by both groups, and the presentation will be soon available.
